Hi there Lovely People,
It’s been a while since I checked in with you all. How are you? I hope you’ve had a great week. Mine’s been busy: working, writing, doing Flash Cards with My daughter for her exams … it’s been full-on! Add the elections into this mix and - well - I hope you all manage to find a little slice of peace for yourselves. You deserve it.
YOU CAN’T KEEP A GOOD WOMAN DOWN
After all the awfulness of my business being destroyed a year or so ago (lesson: some coaches aren’t as good as they say they are) I am now back at work and feeling better than ever. When things are razed to the ground it gives you the perfect chance to get really clear on what you want to build from the ashes and what you want to leave behind. I won’t pretend that it was easy, having to move out of the office I loved, borrow money from people to get through Christmas - to say nothing of the impact it had on my health - but now I feel utterly joyful and so grateful for the love I have from everyone around me. I’m proud of myself for not going under totally. I backed myself. And now I’m back to doing what I do best: transforming people’s lives.
NEW WEBSITE
And to make sure people know that I’m back to my best, I have a new website! I love it so much, I really feel like it’s me. Thanks to Rachel Haynes at Fulcio for putting it together for me. Take a look and let me know what you think! www.dawnthomson.com
FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER AGAIN
I’ve added a special something to my suite of tools that I’m really excited to share with you! I’m going to host retreats … with a difference.
Firstly, they’re for couples only. One couple at a time. And the retreat is designed to help you fall in love with each other again. Less retreat, more weekend away. No hard work, just soulful connection in luxurious surroundings in the Perthshire countryside, wild and beautiful, like a slice of Outlander. I’ll be on hand to help you re/discover your inner Claire and Jamie. Think of me like Claudia Winkelman in The Traitors, but with the focus on love and communication. And definitely not watching you as much!
This is for couples who will spend money on a nice holiday hoping it will bring them closer to their loved one, but come home as fed up and far apart as they were before (if not more). This is a much better investment that will last your whole life, not just the summer. You can find details about it here: https://dawnthomson.com/couple-retreat
THE RETURN OF DAWN’S SALON
And because I apparently can’t sit still for five minutes, the next Dawn’s Salon is happening on Wednesday 25 June in the gorgeous Drawing Room at the Kimpton Charlotte Square in Edinburgh.
If you’ve never been before, think intimate conversation, laughter, honesty, connection and the sort of chats we usually only have after two glasses of wine with our closest friends. We talk about love, sex, relationships, confidence, intimacy, communication … all the messy human stuff that actually matters.
No awkward networking. No pretending. Just a beautiful room full of people being real with each other. Think Girls’ Night In … with professional tips to take away.
June’s Salon will be about helping you reconnect with the Sexy in your life - and in You!
I love how incredibly special these nights are for everyone. Spaces are kept intentionally small, so if you’d like to join us, grab one of only SIX tickets below.

WRITING FOR FROLICME
As many of you know, I’m a complete advocate of great sex. I truly believe in the healing properties of connecting on a deep physical level, and I’m not shy in talking about it, pretty much whenever I can. But did you know that I write about it as well? You can find my articles at Frolicme, an ethical, sex-positive porn site for women and couples. Give it a look if you haven’t yet. As well as articles there are films, stories, audio, pictures … and it was featured on Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich last month.
NOTES FROM THE GROUND
It’s not just sex that makes your body feel good, any touch is healing. I truly believe that me and Mr Thomson have kept our love alive because we hold hands whenever we can. Watching TV. In bed. On the street. Even in the supermarket.
Oxytocin, the pair-bonding hormone that builds trust and security, is activated when you hold hands with a loved one for 20 seconds or more. If you want to feel closer to your special person, just do that one evening. Nothing else. Love doesn’t have to be grand gestures all the time. It’s the small things that are the glue that keeps you together.
